John Washington III Says Both Parties Operate Under the Same System and Asks Who Is Really Benefiting

John Washington III, a 2028 presidential candidate, is calling the political system itself a joke and saying it is time to question the entire system. In his post, John Washington III wrote that he has serious questions for the American people, the Democratic Party, the Republican Party and every government official in the country, and he asked how long Americans will keep allowing a political system to control their lives, exercise power over them and take their hard-earned money without questioning how that power is being used.

John Washington III argued that the two parties are different in name but not in the system they run. "We have Democrats! We have Republicans! Two different political parties!" he wrote. "But has anybody ever stopped to think about something? Both parties operate under the same political system!" Both parties, he wrote, participate in passing laws, collecting taxes, creating regulations and exercising governmental authority over the American people. "If both political parties are supposed to be fighting for the people, why do so many Americans continue to feel like they are the ones being taken advantage of?" John Washington III wrote. "Why are we always arguing about Democrats and Republicans instead of questioning the system both parties operate under? Who is really benefiting? Who is really being represented? And who is actually holding these people accountable?"

John Washington III wrote that every election season brings the same promises - to fight for the people, protect their rights, lower their taxes and change the system - and he asked what happens after the election: "Where is the change? Where is the accountability? Where is the fight for the American people?" He asked why the political system seems to keep operating the same way regardless of which party holds office. John Washington III also stated his own party plainly: "I am a member of the Democratic Party," he wrote, adding that membership does not mean he will pretend everything the Democratic Party does is right.
