River LINE Service Is Suspended in Camden on Sunday Between Walter Rand and the Entertainment Center
NJ Transit's alert suspends River LINE service between the Walter Rand Transportation Center and the Entertainment Center stations for Sunday, November 1 - and the alert, which expires at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, states no reason.

Camden's light rail spine has a gap in it on Sunday. NJ Transit's official travel alert for Sunday, November 1 suspends River LINE service in both directions between the Walter Rand Transportation Center and the Entertainment Center stations, the downtown Camden segment of the line that runs between Trenton and Camden. The alert is in effect for Sunday and expires at 11:59 p.m. Sunday night.
The alert as published states no reason for the suspension, and this desk reports none - riders should not plan around a cause NJ Transit has not given. What the alert does mean in practice is that the stations at the Camden end of the line - the transportation center that anchors PATCO and bus connections, and the waterfront stop that serves the Entertainment Center - have no River LINE trains on Sunday, and anyone whose Sunday trip starts or ends there needs another way across that segment. NJ Transit's standing advice applies: check the travel alerts for your line before you travel, because Sunday's alert set is not the weekday one.
The rest of the Sunday railroad is running on its planned special shape. NJ Transit's alerts page states that rail service, except the Atlantic City Rail Line, is operating on the Portal Cutover weekend schedule, with Midtown Direct service operating to and from New York Penn Station and no cross-honoring in Hoboken, and that Port Jervis and Pascack Valley Line riders have Metro-North cross-honoring at select stations this weekend. Between the cutover timetable, the Jets game-day trains at MetLife and now the River LINE gap in Camden, Sunday is a check-before-you-go day on every part of the system.
