Late Traffic: NJ 208 Southbound Is Closed at NJ 4 in Fair Lawn for a Crash Investigation, and an Overturned Vehicle Blocks a Parkway Toll Lane at Lakewood (New Jersey Garden News)

The late board has a new and serious lead item in Bergen County. NJDOT's 511NJ Active Incidents feed, timestamped 11:40 p.m. Eastern and read in full by this desk, reports a crash investigation on NJ 208 southbound at NJ 4 in Fair Lawn, with all lanes closed, in an NJDOT entry timestamped 11:39 p.m. — minutes before the feed was read. The feed gives no injury information for the closure, and none is reported here; a crash investigation closure of this kind typically holds until investigators clear the scene, and the feed states no reopening time.

The Garden State Parkway carries the board's other two late items. Northbound at Exit 89C, Lakewood and Airport Road in Lakewood Township, a crash with property damage involving an overturned vehicle blocks one toll lane, in a Turnpike Authority entry timestamped 11:24 p.m. Southbound, a disabled vehicle partially blocks the exit ramp at Exit 125, NJ 35 in Sayreville, in an entry timestamped 11:12 p.m. The feed reports property damage only for the Lakewood crash and no injuries for either Parkway item, and none are claimed here.

The standing items close the file, unchanged: Port Street in Newark remains under truck restrictions in both directions between Brewster Road and Marlin Street with the left lane closed, and the George Washington Bridge's lower level eastbound carries its truck restrictions with all lanes open. For drivers out after midnight, the practical read is one full closure — NJ 208 southbound at Fair Lawn — and two Parkway lane problems, at Lakewood and Sayreville; 511NJ remains the live source for all three.
