Sunday Weather in New Jersey: A Frosty Morning, Then a Dry and Mild Day for the Final Early Voting and the Marathon (New Jersey Garden News)

Sunday starts cold in New Jersey. The station's live feed on Saturday night read 48.7 degrees and clear, falling toward a Sunday low near 39, with a National Weather Service Frost Advisory in effect from midnight to 8 a.m. Sunday for Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties. Gardeners in the advisory counties should have sensitive plants covered before midnight, and early risers - including marathon runners heading for the Meadowlands buses - should expect frosted windshields inland.

The day itself is dry and workable. The feed puts Sunday overcast with a high near 62.5 and no precipitation - clean weather for the final day of in-person early voting, when New Jersey sites are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and for the cross-Hudson travel the marathon and the Jets game at MetLife Stadium will generate.

The week then warms into the vote. Monday reaches the mid-60s, Election Day on Tuesday is dry in the feed with a high near 66, and Wednesday is the week's warmest day at about 70. The first real rain chances of the week arrive Thursday, at 44 percent in the feed, and continue into Friday - after the ballots are cast.
