Early Voting 2026: New Jersey Voters Have Through Sunday as Early Ballots Pass the Midterm Record
New Jersey early voting runs through Sunday, November 1, ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, November 3, in a midterm cycle that has already passed the 2022 early-voting record nationally.

New Jersey voters who want to cast a ballot in person before Election Day have through Sunday, November 1. The New Jersey Division of Elections schedule reported this week runs from Saturday, October 24 through Sunday, November 1, with sites open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and no appointment is needed. Voters can use an early voting site in their own county.
On the ballot in New Jersey on Tuesday, November 3 are all 12 of the state's U.S. House seats and a U.S. Senate seat, currently held by Sen. Cory Booker, according to published election reporting read by this desk. On Election Day, New Jersey polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and voters who are in line by 8 p.m. can still vote after the polls close.
Nationally, early voting has already set a midterm record. A Friday-evening count reported by Newsweek put early ballots at 49.6 million, past the 45.9 million cast in all of 2022, with about 22.9 million of those by mail and 26.8 million in person. New Jersey's registration deadline passed on October 13, and the deadline to request a mail ballot by mail passed on October 27; a mail ballot can still be picked up in person from a county clerk until 3 p.m. on Monday, November 2, under the state schedule.
