New Jersey Weather Monday: Election Day Has Been Revised Up to 70.8 — Now the Warmest Day of the Week
The overnight feed moved Tuesday again, and this time past Wednesday: 70.8 for Election Day, dry at a 3 percent rain chance. Monday itself runs 44.3 to 66.5 under a clear sky.

Monday's number is not the one that changed. Overnight, the station's live feed reads 44.3 degrees, feeling like 39.9, under a clear sky, on the way to a Monday high of 66.5 with a 2 percent rain chance — the same dry, warming Monday the desk filed at midnight. What moved is Tuesday: Election Day's high has been revised up to 70.8 degrees, from 69.3 in the last cycle, with a low of 42.1 and a rain chance still at just 3 percent.
That revision makes Election Day, not Wednesday, the warmest day of the week. Wednesday now sits second at 70.1, with overnight lows jumping to 55.7 — the mild night that tells you the air mass has fully changed. Voters in line at 6 a.m. Tuesday will stand in the low 40s; voters in line at midday will not need a jacket. By any measure this is dry, warm voting weather, and the feed has now strengthened that call twice in a row.
The week's turn still waits until the voting is over, and it now has a name on the feed: Thursday's weather code reads 80 — showers — at a high of 69.2 and a 52 percent rain chance, followed by Friday at 64.2 and 64 percent. Saturday cools to 60.4 and Sunday to 58.4. The shape holds: a frost-free, warming run through the election, peaking Tuesday at 70.8, then the wet second half of the week.
